With nearly 20 years of experience in the sailmaking industry, Tom has a passion for marine textiles, the industry, and the characters within it. He joined Contender Sailcloth in 2022.
From his first sail as a two-month-old baby in a bassinet tied to the mast of his father’s 22ft daysailer to today, Tom has an enduring passion for racing all types of sailboats and for all aspects of the sport—particularly the annual end-of-year challenge of the Sydney to Hobart Race.
